Bridal Star Hairstyles

The 2010 edition of Bridal Star Hairstyles magazine is the largest collection of fashionable wedding hairstyles pictures. The "All New Wedding Hair Collection" has over 1,500 ideas and inspirations. Featured on this year's cover are examples of romantic updos; polished ponytails; elegant half-updos; glamorous chignons; retro waves; long, lush locks; and cascading curls.

But it has more than just lots of photos. Star stylists give their Big-Day Tips. You will find detailed how-tos and expert advice as well as info on celeb trends. There is instruction about color essentials and swept-up styles. Additionally the contents includes: romantic ringlets; extension options; frizz-free curls; modern angles; natural waves; stylists' secrets; makeup tricks and flower accents.

Wedding hair trends for 2010 are revealed by Antoine Brechu, a stylist at the Roy Teeluck Salon in New York.

1. Structured

"Hair follows fashion," says BSH, "and this season runways are seeing structured clothes in terms of jackets with strong lines and shoulders with shape. To follow suit, updos will go from soft and loose to structured."

2. Half-Up, Half-Down

This is a very popular style, and rightfully so. It's got range! It can be worked differently with the volume on the top or the texture at the sides; and it suits curly, straight, and wavy hair.

3. Short

"I'm seeing more and more short [wedding] hair these days," says Brechu. "In fact, long hair is considered quite traditional. Brides, however, are happy to have short length and give hair a fun twist. For example, a bob can be slightly curled up to achieve a dramatic 1940s slant."

4. Extended

Extensions have usually been worn anywhere besides at a wedding, but now the editors suggest they are "a wonderful tool" for brides, too. If done correctly, they claim, "they will thicken, lengthen, and bring out the very best in the bride's hair."

5. Eclectic

"I've been working with lots of hair pieces that incorporate Swarovski crystals and feathers," reveals the creative wedding hairstylist. "Netting is also tres chic."

Wedding Bridal Makeup

Bridal makeup is all about creating a picture perfect image-the bride should outshine everyone on the day, and make her groom weak at the knees when she walks down the isle. The latest bridal makeup technique to help makeup artists achieve the perfect wedding makeup is airbrushing.
The cornerstone of any great makeup look is foundation, and there is no better way to apply foundation that with an airbrush. Celebrities have been using it for years to get the picture perfect makeup we see them with at the Oscars and other red carpet events-and no, they don’t all have perfect skin, but my bet is they do all have an airbrush makeup artist!

So why is airbrushing the latest bridal makeup? Well it’s taken a number of years for airbrushing to come out of the exclusive world of celebrity and into the mainstream, but since it has, women everywhere are reaping the benefits. Home and salon-use kits are available at reasonable cost, and the results an airbrush gives when compared to regular foundation application is flawless.

The reason why airbrushing is so revolutionary, and so perfect for bridal makeup is that it goes on in light layers that have perfect coverage-so for a completely covered face it only takes about eight drops of makeup-try getting flawless, soft coverage like that with eight drops of regular foundation!

Airbrushing really comes into its own as the latest bridal makeup when the bridal contouring comes into play. Contouring is essential in bridal looks because it adds definition to the face, making sure that the bride has dimension and depth in her wedding photos. With normal contouring methods, it can sometimes look a little patchy, but airbrushing blends seamlessly, so the contouring is imperceptible, except for when it counts. Color matching is also completely customizable in an airbrush.
